Playing the games

Yesterday, the class tested their games for the first time. It was so much fun! We stopped half way through the lesson to discuss problems that arose, and how we could make them better. The obvious problem of too many dragons and evil pixies came to light, as well as terrain designs with big dips and mountains that made it impossible to move.

Today I am going to introduce Fridge magnets, and discuss the different categories. Im also going to give more time to exploring the toolset.

Excited to see what the pupils come up with!

  1. The testing session sounds to have been really valuable. Sadly, it would seem that you can have too many pixies - life is tough sometimes, isn't it? Great that the children are enjoying the problem-solving, and very sensible to have such an early exploration of the game world - really important that they keep checking out their design ideas.
